The same product, six different conversations

Whisperer does not change between scenarios. What changes is which half matters: in an interview it is the four seconds after a question; in a planning call it is what still exists the next morning. Pick the one that describes your week.

Common to all

Two limits that apply in every scenario

They come up on each page below, and they are the same each time, because they follow from how the product is built rather than from what it is being used for.

Limit one One recording at a time, not an archive migration

A finished recording can be uploaded: the Meetings section takes one file up to 25 MB — mp3, m4a, wav, ogg, flac, aac, plus mp4 and webm, from which the audio track is used. What is missing is bulk upload of a whole archive; and it spends the same minutes a live call does.

Limit two System audio is required

The other side is heard through the sound your computer plays — on macOS via the Screen Recording permission. A room with no online call gives Whisperer only your microphone.

Questions

Choosing between them

Do I have to pick a scenario when I sign up?

No. There is no mode to choose — the product is the same in all of them. What differs is what you prepare and which part you end up relying on.

Which scenario benefits most from preparation?

Anything live. In an interview, a sales call or a negotiation, the quality of a real-time answer comes almost entirely from what is in your knowledge base beforehand.

Which one works with nothing prepared?

The after-the-call side: transcript, meeting map, action items and search all work from the first session with an empty account.

Is using it acceptable in all of these?

It depends on the conversation, not on the software. In sales, planning or a customer call it is unremarkable. In an assessment of a skill, the line is different and worth reading about before you decide.

Start with the call you already dread

Whichever scenario that is. The one you are least looking forward to is usually the one where the difference is easiest to notice.
