Whisperer vs Avoma
Avoma is a revenue platform: scoring, forecasting, pipeline health, coaching, CRM automation. Whisperer is one person's assistant on one person's calls. These are not competing purchases — they usually are not even made by the same person.
Avoma capabilities below were read on avoma.com, 7 September 2026
| Question | Avoma | Whisperer |
|---|---|---|
| Who buys it | Revenue teams: RevOps, sales leadership, enablement | The person on the call |
| What it produces | Call scoring, deal risk, pipeline health, forecasts | An answer during the call; notes and tasks after |
| Bot in the call | Not stated on its site | Never |
The difference
One is bought by a manager, the other by a participant
That distinction explains everything downstream. A platform bought to give leadership visibility must aggregate across people, integrate with the CRM as the system of record, and produce numbers that survive a board meeting.
A tool bought by the person on the call has to do one thing well in real time and stay out of the way otherwise. Neither design is a diminished version of the other.
- Scoring and coaching against a methodology
- Deal and churn risk alerts
- Forecasting and pipeline views
- Scheduling and lead routing
- Answers from your own knowledge base
- Live translation when the call is cross-language
- A window absent from the shared screen
- Notes, tasks and search afterwards, for you
Honest
Where Avoma is the better purchase
- You manage a sales org
Anything that needs a view across many people's calls is outside Whisperer's design entirely.
- The CRM is the system of record
Automating what lands in it is a core Avoma job and not a Whisperer job.
- You need forecasts
Pipeline health and win-loss analysis have no Whisperer equivalent, now or planned in anything stated here.
Limits
Whisperer's two
- FirstNo team layer at all
No manager view, no scoring, no aggregation. Thirty seats would be thirty separate personal accounts.
-
Second
One recording at a time, not an archive migration
A finished recording can be uploaded: the Meetings section takes one file up to 25 MB — mp3, m4a, wav, ogg, flac, aac, plus mp4 and webm, from which the audio track is used. What is missing is bulk upload of a whole archive; and it spends the same minutes a live call does.
Questions
Choosing between the two
Can a rep use Whisperer inside an Avoma org?
Technically nothing conflicts — Whisperer joins no call and touches no CRM. Whether your organisation permits it is a policy question for them.
Does Whisperer do call scoring?
No, and it is not a roadmap item being hinted at here. It produces structure from a conversation, not a grade for it.
Which helps a rep in the moment?
Whisperer, by design. Avoma's site describes analysis and automation rather than live in-call answers.
Does Avoma use a bot?
Its site does not state this either way, so this comparison does not claim it does.
Ask who the buyer is
If the person paying is not the person on the call, you are shopping in the other category.
